Spinach Power — Part 1: recap

Part 1 opens at the Alderwick Institute of Science & Technology, where two scientists have logged 234 failed attempts at a super-photosynthesized spinach before Test 235 finally sprouts. With their grant expiring, the dark-haired scientist eats a leaf against her colleague's warning and quickly starts showing superhuman strength. A security enforcer and a businesswoman arrive demanding the research, a fight breaks out, and the businesswoman force-feeds the spinach to the red-haired scientist to stop her from screaming. The red-haired scientist then undergoes a far bigger, clothes-shredding transformation, overpowers both intruders, and police are called as the confrontation escalates. 27 pages.
